Ahoy!

It has been an amazing month in Prague so far but alas all good things must come to an end.

Next week I will be meeting up with my good friend Anize Mamodaly in Paris and heading to the Netherlands to meet up with previous podcast Moods in Rotterdam.

It is exciting to head to a new city but I will miss Prague quite a bit. As I'm writing this I am sitting in a cat cafe surrounded by sleeping cats and kittens with a view overlooking buildings that are older than the United States....didn't think I would be as big of a fan as I am but I can dig this.

When I think about the decisions that I made that led me here, I think about the opportunities that I had to settle down or do the normal thing. For some reason, I've always resisted the idea while being drawn to discovering and exploring more.

But. I never knew exactly what direction I wanted to go and I had this crazy idea that everyone else knew what they wanted to do.

Everyone had figured out but me.

According to my latest guests, I was wrong.

The majority of people don't know what they want to be when they grow up or how to get there.

That's what these two episodes are about, deciding who you want to be and how to get there.  The idea of how I invest my time has been very relevant as I'm establishing new routines while on the road so it is serendipitous that these episodes are being released now.

These conversations made me feel a bit less different and I hope that they do the same for you.

What I'm reading: Wonder by R.J. Palacio
Wonder is an amazing book that will open up your heart and help you realize that you have more room to be more kind. It is a reminder to treat people well and what really counts in life.

Courage. Kindness. Friendship. Character. These are the qualities that define us as human beings, and propel us, on occasion, to greatness.”

“If every person in this room made it a rule that wherever you are, whenever you can, you will try to act a little kinder than is necessary - the world really would be a better place. And if you do this, if you act just a little kinder than is necessary, someone else, somewhere, someday, may recognize in you, in every single one of you, the face of God.”

What I'm Listening to: Fictional Podcast

I absolutely love this show. The Narrator translates old tales into a modern tone with a hint of sarcasm and humor. Such books include The Tempest, Macbeth, and the Count of Monte Cristo. If you enjoy those tales but have no desire to read old English, this is the show for you.

Talk soon.
Until next time,
